Reclaim your Body: Retreats to Unwind Tension, Deepen Connection & Awaken Sensation

Step into a space designed for deep restoration, reconnection, and renewal. Away from the distractions and demands of daily life, this retreat invites you to shift out of the constant activity of the mind, slow down, and listen—tuning into the innate wisdom of your body.

This unique retreat experience is rooted in Foundation Training—a powerful movement practice that builds deep, connected strength and supports a spacious, resilient frame. Alongside Foundation Training, we integrate somatic practices and holistic anatomy education to deepen your understanding of the interconnected nature of your body.

By working with your body’s natural mechanics rather than against them, you’ll experience real, tangible changes—enhancing posture, mobility, and stability to release stored tension, relieve pain and restore healthy movement.

You’ll leave this retreat feeling more connected to your body; safer, stronger, and more coordinated in your movement. And with a deeper attunement to your body and senses, you’ll feel refreshed, restored, and equipped with practical tools to support your health and movement long after the retreat ends.

Your body already holds the wisdom to heal—this retreat is your opportunity to listen.

Meet Your Hosts

Mora McGovern

As an experienced movement coach, Mora’s expertise is in helping people reconnect with their bodies and move with greater ease. She works with the principles of Foundation Training to help you unwind tension and restore natural movement patterns. More recently, she has incorporated somatic bodywork to help people explore the relationship between emotions and movement, bringing deeper awareness and freedom to their bodies.

Mora lived with pain in her back, hips, shoulders, and neck throughout her teens and early 20s. Discovering this work allowed her to reclaim her body and develop an unwavering belief in it’s ability to heal when given the right conditions.

Since 2015, Mora has been dedicated to helping others experience the same transformation. She brings a grounded presence, deep knowledge, and an encouraging teaching style to the retreat. Passionate about guiding people toward greater trust in their bodies, she integrates movement, anatomical awareness and somatic practices to cultivate lasting strength, confidence, and ease.

Mike Guest

Mike is a movement enthusiast and Foundation Training instructor, who brings a unique perspective to the retreat experience. After over a decade of chronic pain, he became reliant on short-term relief from physios, osteopaths, and massage therapists, but his symptoms kept returning. It wasn’t until a severe episode of sciatica left him unable to sleep or move that he knew he needed a long-term solution.

Mike discovered Foundation Training in 2018, using it sporadically to manage pain, but it wasn’t until working consistently with Mora that he fully transformed his movement and regained control of his body. Now, as a Foundation Training instructor, he is passionate about helping others find lasting relief and build resilience in their movement.

Having sustained multiple injuries—including a shattered elbow from a biking accident, ACL reconstruction from skiing, and a broken back from surfing—Mike deeply understands the mental and physical toll that pain and injury can take. His experience drives his commitment to supporting others in regaining confidence and freedom in their bodies, so they can return to the activities they love with strength and ease.

Together, Mora and Mike create a welcoming and supportive space, shaped by their own journeys of overcoming pain and rediscovering movement. Their combined experience and deep understanding of the body allow them to guide you with empathy, helping you explore movement in a way that builds strength, confidence, and a renewed connection to yourself.
